The 2015 Women’s Futsal World Cup kicked off in Guatemala on Wednesday morning with Brazil thrashing Costa Rica 9-nil in Group B of the tournament.
In the same group, the Iranian team, who won the 2015 AFC Women's Futsal Championship in late September, was defeated by Portugal 3-nil.
Accordingly, Brazil, Portugal, Iran and Costa Rica rank first to fourth in Group B of the Futsal World Cup.
Playing in the first group, the Russia team managed to achieve a valuable 3-1 victory against Spain while Japan was overcame by the host Guatemala 2-1.
